I am fairly new to this site, Its great I have a recently purchased vmax 1996 2000 miles on it pretty nice shape. rear fuel pump wasnt working got that replaced runs on both cylinders now but sounds like its dropping a cylinder at idle til you throttle up a little, never had one of these vmaxs always wanted one cause they look awesome like no other. any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated or anything else I should be doing that may have been a issue with these sleds thanks Rick

Hi, Rick welcome to V.V. ! Are you taking 1986 ? Lots of possible causes, from the In tank fuel filter, to the carbs (clean and adjustment) to the spark plugs and/or spark plug caps, electrical connections and even the T.O.R.S. can cause issues. Show us some pictures !

Thanks I will go threw the carbs fuel tank, lines and fuel pumps are already done where should the carbs be set at ? he are a couple pics after getting it home right off the trailer thanks Rick This only has 2000 miles on it needs a little work but will be worth it I hope! Oh this is a 1986 not 96 as you know my bad.

Thank you for the coment would like to restore this summer. with new decals paint the hood ect does anybody have or know the paint code for the 1986 vmax and wheres the best place to get replacement parts without paying an arm and a leg ? thanks Rick
