clutch help on a '83 VMAX
is there any maintence to the clutch i need to do of anything to watch for, was told these sleds ate up clutches. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

[/img]My Comet 102C blew apart at about 2500 miles. One of the rollers got a flat spot because it quit turning. Ate the weight and I didn't catch it fast enough and it ate into the spider. I am not sure what the cause of the problem ever was. I had to replace the bushings in the weights last season too. I would suggest pulling the weights and look for wear on the bushings. Make sure the rollers rotate freely. That's all I have ever done with mine, which I do every season now.
