Throttle sticks

Post by chrisrider63 »

I put the plastics back on my handle bars and its causing the throttle to stick open a little bit .If I just flip the throttle it unsticks but still a little spooky. I think maybe I have to put the covers on the handle bars differently or just make it so the throttle cables cant twist over each other. Just wondering if anyone else had the same problem as I almost have this thing running perfect.

yeah double check your cable routing... when i first put mine back together i had the trottle cables run wrong and when i turned left it gave it gas.... i could actually cock the bars left and ride circles all day without touching the gas...

deep powdery snow also give me issue with snow dust sticking my slides open.... i gotta just keep jabbing it until it settles back down, but i dont think thats the issue your having
My airbox is held on by one screw, not because Im lazy but because it is less weight!

Me and my sister were driving in deep powder all day on tuesday it was blowing and i was hitting drifts and riding in soft snow all day along tree lines and on the trail so that probably stuck the slides also.

when my slides stick from snow dust they stick pretty much right away and after about 10 throttle jabs they loosen back up and are back to normal
